Silent Bell taps your wrist at random moments. No sound. Nothing on screen. Just a quiet question, felt and not heard: where is your attention right now?
The surprise that wakes your attention up.
Silent Bell divides each hour into equal stretches and places one tap at random inside each. There is no rhythm to learn and nothing to brace for, so every tap arrives unrehearsed — spaced far enough apart to never feel like an alarm, unpredictable enough to keep working.
Nothing leaves your wrist, because there is no data.
Don't take our word for it. The source code is public and auditable — every line the app runs, readable by anyone.
Apple pauses background sessions after an hour. So Silent Bell pauses too.
When it does, your watch gives one last pattern you'll recognise, and a note appears: Silent Bell paused. Tap Resume to start a new session. One touch starts the next hour.
We could dress this up as a feature. Honestly, it's a platform limit — but it makes a fair bell of its own. Once an hour, you notice the noticing stopped, and you choose to begin again.
Pay once. Keep it forever.
$4.99, one time. No subscription, no trial to remember to cancel — that would be noise. If it isn't for you, Apple will refund it.
